Project Description:
This is the largest portable unit available in the world today. It is for testing of standby generators, turbines that power the cities dewatering pumps. After tropical storms these pumps are critical to prevent flooding of the city. The 22MW load bank was designed for use with both 6.9kV and 4.16kV generators, and provided an adjustable load from 500kW to 22MW in increments of 500kW to allow testing of various generator-turbine pairs under varying load conditions.
